190hp 3.0 JDM 6mge Engine
You probably have high miles on your old 5mge engine. It is coughing, sputtering, smoking, and on its last legs. You don't have the time, know-how, or the funds to go for an engine rebuild, but that's okay. Treat your Supra to a Japanese Domestic Market (JDM) 6mge engine. These 6mge engines have been compression tested, cleaned, and come with a one year warranty. This engine is a direct replacement for your old engine's 2.8 liters of displacement. With 3.0 liters and 190 crank horsepower, it will bring powerful, reliable life to your car. The 6mge will come to you with the following new items installed:
- Thermostat w/ gasket
- Water pump
- Timing belt
- Timing belt tensioner
- Front and rear crankshaft main seals
- Oil pump drive shaft seal
- Front camshaft seals
- Valve cover gaskets
- Oil filter
- NGK V-power spark plugs
- Pilot bearing
Note: 1982-1983 Supras require a 1984-1986 style "ribbed" alternator pulley, with a matching belt. 1982-1983 Supras will also have to use their complete oil pump/pickup tube assembly in the newer 6mge. Rotate the engine by hand after you install the pump, as one of the rod bolts may contact the oil pump tube union. All Mk2 Supras will have to use your 5mge oil pan. 1984-1985 Supras must swap over the oil pump pickup tube/strainer assembly. All Mk2 Supras will have to use your existing throttle body, wiring harness, and a/c compressor bracket. Install is akin to a standard engine swap. From time of payment, expect your engine to be shipped within five working days. A tracking number will be sent to you at time of shipment. New oil pumps and oil pump pickups are available as well. Oil pump - $274.30 (includes pickup tube). O.E.M. oil pump pickup - $75.
